Faber Comics Competition
On Monday the 16th September I submitted my entry to the Faber Comics competition, which required a four page original comic. It was a bit last minute for me (I sent it off four minutes before the deadline) but I'm glad I pushed to get it in even if I don't win.
I took this opportunity to re imagine my first ever comic book character, Fisher, who appeared in my comic Little Fish. A project I created during my BA in Illustration, going on ten years ago. It's a great thing to lean back into old work but with the skills and styles that I've developed throughout the years. It was also a great opportunity to use some recent photographs I took at the ST Austell Sunflower Trail.
I will be posting the full comic at the end of the year when they decide on who will be the winner.
I've got my fingers crossed!
Apolius Two, Update;
Above is the work in progress of Page One for the next instalment of my Graphic novel Apolius. I'm really excited to be getting back into this work (even though it's only been a month since I finished the first one). With the story just waiting to be told, there's no such thing as too soon when it comes to moving onto the next project!
There will be more to write about in the coming weeks!
